The city of Haverhill was founded in 1640 and is located
in Essex County which today is a city of 52000 and has
kept its characteristics of a home town through out
New England. Here you will find a revitalized business
district which residents note is one of the finest Queen
Anne style industrial streetscapes in America.
With a tremendous amount of recreational opportunities
such as golf courses and a down hill ski area along
with two riding academies, a public skating rink and
a sailing program. The Merrimack River provides the
community with opportunities for fishing and canoeing
along with spectacular boating. Hiking and Bird Watching
is very popular and the city of Haverhill invites
visitors to catch a glimpse of the growing population
of bald eagles which are seasonal along the Merrimack
River.
